Overview of Academic Research

Prof. Xiao Zheng's research interest is theoretical and computational study on open quantum systems. He particularly focuses on the dissipative dynamics and key properties of many-body quantum systems under the influence of complex environments and external fields.

His major achievements include:

* ‌Developing novel theoretical methods such as fermionic hierarchical equations of motion, stochastic equation of motion, and dissipaton-embedded quantum master equation.

* Constructing practical algorithms for open quantum systems by harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

* Leading the development of the general-purpose computational software tool HEOM-QUICK, which enables first-principles-based simulation for the precise measurement and manipulation of molecular quantum states.
