Overview of Academic Research

Prof. Huan Yang’s research focuses on ultracold atom and ultracold molecules, with particular interests on ultracold collisions between molecules and atoms, and Neutral atom arrays.

His major achievements include:

Observation of controllable state-to-state ultracold chemical reactions in collisions between sodium-potassium Feshbach molecules and potassium atoms.

Observation of Feshbach resonances between sodium-potassium ground-state molecules and potassium atoms at ultralow temperatures.

Association of ultracold triatomic molecules and preparation an ultracold triatomic molecular ensemble using Feshbach resonances between atoms and molecules.

Research Directions:

1.Ultracold collisions between molecules and atoms

2.Preparation and manipulation of ultracold molecules

3.Neutral atom arrays
