Overview of Academic Research

Prof. Yukai Wu’s research focuses on the theoretical study of ion trap quantum computation and quantum simulation.

His/her major achievements include:

* ‌Schemes to realize universal quantum computation based on two-dimensional ion crystals, including schemes for stably trapping large-scale ion crystals and schemes for high-fidelity individually addressed quantum gates.

* ‌Schemes for ion trap quantum simulation based on spin models and spin-boson models.

* ‌Schemes to verify and learn Hamiltonians of large-scale ion trap quantum simulators
