Overview of Academic Research

Professor Gu Ying is a Boya Distinguished Professor and recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Her research specializes in fundamental theoretical studies at the interdisciplinary frontiers of micro/nano photonics, quantum optics, and quantum information.

Her works focus on investigating optical modes in various micro/nano photonic structures and their hybrid systems, with particular emphasis on quantum light in these structures and their coupling with quantum systems. Her research encompasses cavity quantum electrodynamics, quantum interference, and quantum information processing, revealing novel phenomena and effects in light-quantum matter interactions at micro/nano scales. These studies provide fundamental theories and potential applications for on-chip quantum optics and quantum information technologies.

Professor Gu has published over 100 high-impact papers in prestigious journals including Nature Nanotechnology, Light: Science & Applications, Physical Review Letters, Chem, Nano Letters, and Physics (《物理》), which have made important academic impacts internationally.
