Overview of Academic Research

Qiang Fu has long been engaged in theoretical simulations of adsorption phenomena, electronic structures, and reaction processes in surface and interface systems. He is dedicated to elucidating bonding patterns, reaction mechanisms, and dynamic evolution of adsorbates at the atomic scale, while predicting potential new phenomena. Recently, he has incorporated quantum computing and artificial intelligence techniques (particularly generative large language models) to solve the many-electron Schrödinger equation and accurately simulate the ground state properties for diverse systems. His work has been published in leading journals including PRL, Nat. Commun., JACS, Angew. Chem., Adv. Mater., and J. Chem. Theory Comput..
