Overview of Academic Research

Prof. Zhang’s research interest includes cold atom physics, non-Hermitian physics, quantum dynamics theory, and quantum physics in curved space. He has made a series of internationally influential contributions in the control of interactions in cold atom systems, including the proposal of the “orbital Feshbach resonance,” the application of confinement-induced resonance to control spin-exchange interactions, the development of a geometric theory of quantum dynamics, and the duality between non-Hermitian and curved space physics. Several theoretical results have been experimentally verified. To date, he has pulished more than 40 papers in academic journals such as Nature Physics, Nature Reviews Physics, Physical Review Letters, and Science Bulletin.
