Overview of Academic Research
Prof. Chao Zhang’s research interest is the systematic study on the preparation, manipulation, and detection of multiphoton entangled states, achieving the following key results: Developed a high-brightness and high-efficiency "sandwich-type" entangled light source, enabling the preparation of high-fidelity multiphoton entangled states. In the detection of multiphoton entanglement, achieved optimal efficiency in multipartite entanglement verification and further realized device-independent genuine multipartite entanglement verification. In the study of nonlocality in multiphoton entanglement, non-statistically verified six-photon nonlocality, genuine multipartite nonlocality, star-network nonlocality, and hybrid quantum network nonlocality. In applications of multiphoton entanglement, realized high-dimensional quantum teleportation and noise-adapted quantum precision measurements. Relevant findings have been published in journals such as Nature Communications, PRL, and Optica.
